Coordinator's Corner
So, how was your EASTER, and school holidays, kids have gone back to school and settling in nicely, We
hope so, or is Covid 19 still causing disruptions.
So, quick review, did you review your home & vehicle security, or were you too busy, especially those tools on Tradie’s trucks? Such an easy target
when parked on the job or on the street.
Looking ahead just a bit to the June long weekend means maybe this time a quick getaway and a mini- holiday.
However, before you go, DO that review. It would ruin a holiday if on your return you found some “horrible person” had entered your premises
and made off with treasured possessions, tools or valuables. SO!!!!
Double check that the sensor lighting and alarm is working, the windows and doors are fully secured and a trusted neighbour is keeping an eye on your
property while you are away. A motion camera is also worth-while considering as a deterrent against an unwelcome intruder.
Precaution and prevention are always superior to after-thought and regret. These measures can help to keep your home and vehicle insurance premiums lower.
Did you know that by residents coming together and looking out for each other together, we are actually supporting each other, and the community as a whole? Together, we can create safer communities and deter and prevent crime. It all depends on each of us individually doing just our little bit.

Protect your home and valuables with a property register
Creating an inventory involves keeping a detailed list of all
your valuables, with photographs. Keep records of identifiers such as:
• Manufacturer/ model name / number/ Serial no.
• Colour or brief description
Marking your valuables with your name and/or driver’s license number is also a great deterrent to thieves and allows a good identifier for Police if the items are recovered. It is not always feasible to engrave an item. For items that cannot be engraved, try looking into alternative security measures. Marking your valuables with an ultra-violet pen or microscopic identifying dots can be beneficial. These procedures will not damage the item and are only visible using an ultra-violet light.
